BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Webster University men's and women's track and field team kicked off their 2022-23 season this afternoon when they traveled to Bloomington, Illinois, to compete in the Titan First Chance Meet at Illinois Wesleyan University. The Gorloks did not record a team score on the men's or women's side.
The men's track & field team had two top 10 finishes including
Armond Williams in the 60-meter hurdles and
Landon Garland in the pole vault. Williams finished in seventh place in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.23 seconds. Garland took ninth in the pole vault after clearing the bar with a height of 3.45 meters. The full men's results are as follows:
Isabelle Llewellyn was the only top 10 finisher on the women's side as she took eighth place in the weight throw. Llewellyn posted a length of 12.82 meters to finish in eighth place in the event. The full women's results are as follows:
The men's and women's track and field team will take a break for the holidays and return to action on Saturday, January 21
st. The meet they will compete in has yet to be determined.
