WAVERLY, Iowa – Members of the Webster University men's and women's track and field teams were back in action this afternoon when they traveled to Waverly, Iowa, to compete in the Wartburg (Iowa) College NCAA Qualifier. The Gorloks had five competitors in the meet including three from the men's team and two from the women's team.
Elijah Perez led the way for the Gorloks as he took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.46. He also competed in the 60-meter dash preliminaries where he took 11
th with a time of 7.06 seconds.
Kaelin Triggs took 28
th in the men's 800-meter final with a time of 2:03.03.
Armond Williams rounded out the competitors for the Gorloks as he took fifth in the high jump after clearing the bar at 1.87 meters.
Danielle Schultz led the way on the women's side as she took ninth in the 800-meter final after finishing with a school record of 2:16.87.
Vanessa Jones also competed for the Gorloks as she took 21
st in the 60-meter hurdle preliminaries with a time of 9.58 seconds.
The Gorloks will find out who has qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Nationals tomorrow night when the NCAA announces the qualifiers.
