LOUIS, Mo. – The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field and Cross Country Committee announced the participants for the 2022 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships. After breaking the Webster University school record in the 800-meter run on Saturday,
Danielle Schultz has qualified for the meet for the first time in her career.
Schultz, a junior out of Swansea, Illinois, had a record-breaking performance at the Wartburg (Iowa) College NCAA Qualifier Meet on Saturday. She took ninth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:16.87 which broke the previous indoor record of 2:18.99 that was set in 2020 by Meredith Sowers. She solidified the last spot in the meet as her time of 2:16.87 was the 20
th best time in NCAA Division III this season.
The 2022 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place March 11
th-12
th at JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The 800-meter preliminaries are set to take place at 3:20 p.m. EST on Friday, March 11
th and the finals are set to take place at 3:50 p.m. EST on Saturday, March 12
th.
