Webster student-athletes helped kick-off the Webster Winter Reads program with Dr. Henry Givens Jr. and Hudson Elementary Schools. On December 11, men's basketball student-athletes, Allen Grahovic, Nate Jones and Booker Simmons visited Hudson Elementary School and on December 21,  Jalen Davis from men's basketball and Alyssa Gilchrist, women's basketball manager, visited Dr. Henry Givens Jr. Elementary School.

During both visits, Webster student-athletes talked with the students during their lunch periods promoting Webster Reads over Winter Break. They encouraged the students from K-5^th to read their required number of books over the break. Students who meet or exceed their challenge will be able to attend the men's and women's basketball games against Principia University on Saturday, January 6 with the opportunity to meet Webster student-athletes after each game and ask for their autograph. The top reader in each classroom will also receive a Gorlok goodie bag.
