Boushard Selected As 2025 SLIAC Postgraduate Scholar

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Each year, the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) collects numerous nominations by conference institutions Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) that submit nominations for graduating seniors for the SLIAC Post Graduate Scholarship. WU's Chase Boushard was selected as one-of-two SLIAC graduating seniors to be awarded for this scholarship. 

In order to be nominated for this award, a graduating senior student-athlete must be nominated by a FAR at their institution and must have met the following requirements;
  1. Must have earned two varsity letters in a sport in which the conference sponsors a championship
  2. Must have at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point-average (on a 4.0 scale)

Boushard, a dual-sport athlete that competed on the Men's Soccer and Men's Tennis teams at Webster, holds a perfect cumulative 4.0 grade-point-average in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Health and Medicine and a minor in Spanish. 

During his time as a Gorlok, Boushard has been very involved in the St. Louis area as he volunteered at the First Baptist Maryville Preschool Ministry every Sunday and worked with four-year old children. In addition, he volunteered his time at Camp Independence which is a local organization that offers a wide variety of adaptive sports for individuals battling cerebral palsy. 

"He is probably one of the two most gifted, yet humble, students I have known at Webster University. His intelligence, discipline, honesty, work ethic, and sincerity are what make him stand out." 

Following graduation in May, Boushard plans to attend medical school to become a Physician. 

Boushard will receive a $1,000 scholarship that can be used at any time in his first two years of postgraduate studies. In addition, he will be honored at the annual SLIAC end of the year awards banquet on May 21st.
