Kamara and Pavlisko Earn Top-10 Finishes; Four Gorloks Set A New PR at Hilltop Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Webster University women's track & field team got in their final marks / times before the SLIAC Championships by competing in the Hilltop Classic at Illinois College on Friday. Four Gorloks set a new personal record at this meet.

In the shot put, senior thrower Cali Pavlisko recorded a mark of 10.91m that earned fifth overall. In addition, Pavlisko also competed in the weight throw and recorded a mark of 12.58m that placed 11th overall. WU's Sophia Cashion set a new personal record in the weight throw with a mark of 9.58m.

In the 60m dash, senior Aissata Kamara set a new personal record with a time of 8.15 seconds that earned fourth overall.

In the 400m, first-year Brynn Beck was the lone Webster competitor and recorded a time of 1:12.02 that placed 10th overall.

In the 800m run, Lydia Imboden set a new personal record with a time of 2:59.12.

In the 3000m event, Violet Hill set a new personal record with a time of 11:50.43 while Brie Inman recorded a time of 14:06.88.

In the long jump, Cashion recorded a mark of 4.16m while Averie Holifield recorded a mark of 3.61m.

The Gorloks will compete in the 2025-26 SLIAC Indoor Championships on February 27-28 at Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.
