Rushman’s Complete Game Shutout Over Beloit Earns SLIAC Pitcher of the Week Honor

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the names of the student-athletes who were named Player of the Week for the week of February 16-22. WU's Kailey Rushman was named the SLIAC Pitcher of the Week for softball. 

Last week, Rushman earned her first collegiate start in the circle and recorded a four-hit complete game shutout against Beloit. In addition, she recorded a career-high seven strikeouts, eight flyouts, and six groundouts. Lastly, with this performance, she earned Webster their first victory of the season. 

With this selection, it marks the first Player of the Week honor of her Gorlok career. 


The Gorloks will be back in action on Saturday, February 28 hosting Grinnell College for a doubleheader starting at 12:00pm at Eureka Sports Complex.
