Kamara and Pavlisko Secure Top-Seven Finishes At Jim Green Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Webster University women's track and field team competed their fourth indoor meet of the season by competing in the Jin Green Invitational on Saturday at Illinois College. WU's Aissata Kamara and Cali Pavlisko earned a top seven finish in the 200m and shot put respectively.

In the 200m, Kamara was the lone Webster competitor in the event as she recorded a time of 27.75 seconds that earned fifth overall. In the shot put event, Pavlisko secured seventh overall mark of 10.85m while Grace Rose recorded a mark of 8.52m.

In the weight throw, three Gorloks competed in the event which was led by Pavlisko with a mark of 12.56m. In addition, Rose recorded a mark of 11.49m while Sophia Cashion posted a mark of 9.24m.

In the 60m dash, Kamara and first-year Faith Scott competed in the event and recorded times of 8.33 seconds and 10.49 seconds.

In the 800m event, Violet Hill and Lydia Imboden ran in the event and posted times of 2:43.04 and 3:07.12 respectively.

In the one mile run, Brie Inman was the lone Webster competitor in the event and recorded a time of 7:07.89.

In the long jump, first-year Averie Holifield recorded a mark of 3.32m.

The Gorloks will be back in action on February 14 competing at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana.
