ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Webster University women's cross country team competed at the Gabby Reuveni Invitational on Saturday morning, placing fourth as a team with 101 points. Junior Lydia Imboden led the way for the Gorloks, recording a new collegiate personal record in the 5K.
Imboden finished 38th overall with a time of 24:41.6.
Sophomore Brooklynn Leeper was the second Gorlok across the finish line, placing 45th overall with a time of 26:14.6.
Freshman Ayanna Lyons finished 46th overall with a time of 26:20.6, while freshman Selene Ahlersmeyer crossed the finish line one spot later in 47th with a time of 26:22.3.
Junior Brie Inman rounded out Webster's scoring five as she finished 51st overall with a time of 28:48.9.
"The ladies competed well today. We have a very young team and are still growing together. We will continue to drop time as we go through the season, starting next week at Columbia College!" said Head Coach Kyle Robinson.
The Gorloks will return to action on Friday, September 11 when they travel to Columbia, Mo. to compete in the Larry Young Invitational, presented by Columbia College. The race will be held at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
