The Webster Gorloks volleyball squad swept its way past MacMurray College, 3-0 on Thursday evening at Grant Gym.

            The Gorloks (23-9, 17-1 SLIAC) got a balanced effort from everyone who played in the contest. Freshmen Francee VanGennip and Missy Repking led the way with seven kills apiece while junior Erin Grobe added six more. Sophomore Abby Williams and freshman Jackie Novak each had 14 assists in the win.

            WU will get ready to host the SLIAC Tournament this Saturday at Grant Gym. The first semi-final pits the Fontbonne Griffons, the third seed, against the second seed, Principia Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Webster, the top seed, will play the fourth seed Greenville Panthers at 5:30 p.m. The tournament championship game is slated to begin at 8 p.m., that evening.
