Women's Tennis drops just two games in blanking Griffins

Webster's womens tennis teams almost completely shutout Fontbonne Tuesday in taking their St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match, 9-0, at Shaw Park. The Gorloks dropped just two games in posting the runaway victory.

In singles competition, Allison Tungate (second singles), Paige Tungate (third singles), Amanda Vest (fourth singles), and Kate Coen (sixth singles) all won by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores. In first singles, Alex Meyer and, in fifth singles, Hannah Wojahn each won their respective flights by 6-0, 6-1 tallies.

The doubles teams of Allison and Paige Tungate (first), Meyer/Vest (second) and Megan Eakes/Wojahn all won in convincing 8-0 fashion.

Webster (7-2) will face Blackburn Thursday in SLIAC action.
