Trimble Takes SLIAC POW Honors Second Time

Willie Trimble (JR, Riverside CC), a guard from San Bernardino, CA, has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 13-19.  Trimble's play in the Lon Varnell Classic in Sewanee, TN, helped the team to the top record (2-0) in the Classic. This marks the second time this season Trimble has earned the honor.

Trimble scored 15 points on 5 of 11 (.455) shooting from the field, and 2-of-3 (.667) from beyond the three-point line, in a 59-57 first round victory versus host school Sewanee University.  He added four assists, two rebounds, and two steals in the win. In a second round win over Berry College (GA), Trimble scored 21 points, and was 9 of 10 (.900) from the free throw line as Webster won, 76-71.  He also had six rebounds, six assists, and three steals in the game, and was named to the All-Classic Team.

Trimble was named the first SLIAC Player of the Week for 2010-11 season, bing selected for the week of November 15-21.
