The Men’s basketball team won its fifth straight, as Webster posted a 75-42 win over Fontbonne University, on January 8, at Grant Gymnasium. Willie Trimble (JR, Riverside CC, CA) led the Gorloks with 19 points as they won their fourth straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game in a convincing fashion.

Trimble was a scorching eight of nine from the field, while pulling down five rebounds and dishing out a team-high four assists. Cody Bradfisch (SO, Jerseyville HS) scored 13 points, including hitting three of four three-pointers. Nick Jones (SR, Heritage HS, IL) and Drew Moore (SR, Northwest HS) led the Gorloks with six rebounds each. Moore was starting his first game after missing the previous four with an injury.

The Gorloks’ have averaged a 32-point margin of victory in their last three SLIAC contests. Webster is 4-1 in the SLIAC and 8-4 overall. The Gorloks figure to find the going a little tougher as they take on Washington University at home on January 12. Webster travels to Louisville, KY, on January 15 to face Spalding University.
