Box Score Facing another tough NCAA III opponent on its early season schedule, the Webster University men's basketball team lost to Luther College (IA), 68-49, in the first round of the Snyder Classic in Lincoln, NE, on November 25.  The Gorloks fell into a 36-22 halftime void, and couldn't rally in the second half.

Cody Brasfisch (JR, Jerseyville HS, IL), Stefan Whittingham (SO, Ft. Lauderdale HS, FL), and Ahmad Smith (FR, Clayton HS) all scored 10 points for the Gorloks.  Whittingham also led Webster with 11 rebounds, a career high for him. 

Statistically, the game was lost on the boards as Luther outrebounded the Gorloks 41-29, and really controlled the offensive boards, holding a 15-6 advantage.

Webster plays in the second round on November 26 against the host team, Nebraska Wesleyan University.  The Gorloks are back home on November 30, as St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play begins vs. Westminster College at Grant Gymnasnium.
