Webster Women Roll at Principia, 49-37

Box Score The Webster University women’s basketball team defeated the Principia College Blue and Gold, 49-37, on February 7, at Elsah, IL.  The Gorloks got back on the winning track after dropping two straight St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests last week.  Cassie Endicott (FR, Civic Memorial HS, IL) led Webster in the victory.

Endicott, who had a big game the last time out vs. the Blue and Gold, had 16 points and nine rebounds to lead Webster in both categories.  Maggie Zehner (JR, Oakville HS) chipped in with 11 points and Kaliann Rikard (SO, Cuba HS, MO) pulled down eight rebounds crashing the boards from the guard position.

The Gorloks raced to a 25-8 halftime lead, allowing Coach Jordan Olufson to give his bench plenty of playing time in the second half.  Fifteen players saw the floor, with 10 making it into the scoring column.

Webster is 7-5 in the SLIAC and 9-12 overall.  The Gorloks travel to Louisville, KY, to face Spalding University on February 11, before returning home to face Greenville College (IL) on February 15.
