The Webster University women's tennis team defeated Greenville College (IL), 7-0, on April 20 at Principia College, to advance to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship. The women will face Principia in the championship at 9:00 a.m. on April 21 at Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park.
With the win, the team improves to 18-2 on the season. After sweeping the three doubles matches, the Gorloks had a 4-0 lead in singles and the match was declared over with Webster having won an insurmountable seven points.
Webster defeated Principia, 7-2, on April 14 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center, but it was this same Principia team that upset the Gorloks in the 2011 SLIAC Tournament. Results for the Greenville match were:
