Winning its second St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship in three years, the Webster University women's tennis team defeated Principia College, 5-1, on April 21 at the Dwight Davis Center in Forest Park. The victory earned the Gorloks a berth in the NCAA III Women's Tennis Championships. It will be the team's second trip to the NCAAs.
Webster took a 2-1 lead in the match after winning two of three doubles. Not giving any opening to the Blue and Gold, who upset the Gorloks in the 2011 SLIAC tournament, Webster won the first three singles to seal the victory.
