Women's Tennis 15-1 With Win at Greenville

Continuing its stellar season and dominating performance so far in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Webster University women's tennis team won, 9-0, at Greenville College (IL), on April 5.  Webster improved to 15-1 overall on the year, and 5-0 in the SLIAC.

Four Gorloks kept their lengthy singles winning streaks intact in the victory.  Allison Tungate (GR, Flora HS, IL) extended her streak to 13 in a row with a 6-0, 6-0 win at #2.  Lindsey Hays (JR, Francis Howell HS) and Lauren Hacker (FR, Corona del Sol HS, AZ) ran their singles win streaks to nine each, and MacKenzie Wilder (FR, Weatherford HS, TX) has won eight straight.

Kathleen Kennedy (FR, Providence Catholic HS, IL) combined with Marissa Lewis (FR, Owasso HS, OK) to win their second straight doubles pairing.  Isabella Espinoza (FR, Temecula Valley HS, CA), who had played mostly doubles this season, won an exhibition 'seventh' singles match, 8-1, over her opponent.
