Box Score Ahmad Smith scored 15 points and Kevin Miller added 13 to lead a balanced offense in the Webster University men's basketball team's 78-60 win over Fontbonne University.
 
The Gorloks improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with the 18-point victory Saturday (Dec. 7) at Grant Gymnasium.
 
Smith (St. Louis, MO / Clayton), a junior, canned three 3-pointers, while Miller (Belleville, IL / Belleville East), a sophomore, was 6 of 9 from the field.
 
Senior Hollis Edwards (Nashville, TN / McGavock), junior Hank Hawkins (St. Louis, MO / Vianney) and sophomore Taylor Walton (Okawville, IL / Okawville) each notched eight points, as 10 Webster players scored in the contest.
 
The Gorloks had more than twice as many assists (22) as turnovers (10). Webster forced 20 Fontbonne miscues and compiled 16 steals.
 
Webster has a quick turnaround, as the Gorloks take on Missouri S&T Sunday (Dec. 8) in Rolla. Tip time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
