The Webster University women's tennis team won its seventh straight match to start the 2013 season, a 6-3 win over Greenville College (IL), at the Webster Groves Tennis Center, on April 2. The Gorloks improved to 4-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with the victory.
Kathleen Kennedy (SO, Providence Catholic HS, IL) remained unbeaten on the season, winning at the #2 doubles with partner Kaylen Kress (FR, Bartlett HS, IL), 8-6, and 6-4, 6-2 at the #4 singles. Kennedy is 7-0 in singles and 6-0 in doubles.
Hillary Fitz (SO, St. Joseph's Academy, MO) improved to 6-1 at the #2 singles spot, winning 6-1, 6-1, and Lindsey Hays (SR, Francis Howell HS, MO) improved to 5-1 at the #1 singles spot, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.
The Gorloks travel to Carlinville, IL, on April 4 to face Blackburn College and travel to Chicago on April 7 to take on Aurora University and Dominican University. Results for the Greenville match:
