Women's Tennis Adds Two More Wins, Streak at 10

The Webster University women's tennis team remained unbeaten on the season, winning 9-0 over Aurora University and 8-1 over Dominican University, in Chicago, IL, on April 7.  Webster starts the season 10-0 and the 10 straight wins is the second longest streak in the program's history, only eclipsed by a 13-match streak in 2012.

Kathleen Kennedy (SO, Providence Catholic HS, IL) was 2-0 in both matches and remains unbeaten on the season, 10-0 in singles and 9-0 in doubles.  Doubles partner Kaylen Kress (FR, Bartlett HS, IL) improved to 10-0 in doubles and 9-1 at singles.  MacKenzie Wilder (SO, Weatherford HS, TX) is 5-0 in singles and 6-0 at doubles after going 2-0 in both matches.

Hillary Fitz (SO, St. Joseph's Academy, MO) is now 9-1 at #2 singles and 7-1 at #1 doubles.  Lindsey Hays (SR, Francis Howell HS, MO) is 8-1 at both the #1 singles and doubles. Isabella Espinoza (SO, Temecula Valley HS, CA) improved to 4-0 in singles play, winning 6-0, 6-1 at #6 singles.

In addition to being 10-0 overall, Webster is 4-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and tied with Principia College for first.  The team will host Missouri Baptist University on April 9 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.  On April 11, the Gorloks will have a SLIAC showdown at Principia, in Elsah, IL.
