Box Score Making its first trip to Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, to face new St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference member Iowa Wesleyan College, the Webster women's basketball team fell, 76-62.
Webster trailed at halftime, 40-36. It was a run and gun affair in the first half, with numerous charges being called on both teams. Kaliann Rikard (SR, Cuba, MO/Cuba HS) had 10 points in the first half to lead the Gorloks. Rikard has been on a scoring binge of late, scoring 52 in her last four games.
Wesleyan relied on three three-pointers early in the second half to open a 49-39 lead. The Tigers extended their advantage to 57-44 at the 10:30 mark and maintained a comfortable lead for the duration of the contest. The Gorloks missed out on several free-throw opportunities down the stretch to cut into the Tigers lead.

The Gorloks are home on January 23 to face SLIAC leader Spalding University at Grant. The team hits the road again on January 25 to take on MacMurray College at Jacksonville, IL.
