Grant Becomes Pink Zone on February 10

Grant Gymnasium will become 'The Pink Zone', on February 10, taking the opportunity to use Webster University women's basketball as a vehicle to raise awareness of breast cancer.  Webster will be sporting pink as part of its uniforms and will give fans variouls opportunities to make contributions toward breast cancer research.

The Gorloks will be hosting the newest member of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Iowa Wesleyan College, on that day.  Fans attending the game are encouraged to show their support of the fight against breast cancer by wearing something pink as well.  Activities will include a 50/50 raffle and sale of items to help raise funds.

Admission to the game is free, but donations will be accepted and all proceeds from the game will benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation. The women's game tips off at 6:00 p.m. and the men's game vs Wesleyan will follow.

The event is co-sponsored in part by the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Please join the Webster University women's basketball team in the fight against breast cancer on Monday, February 10...and watch some exciting Gorlok basketball in the process.
