The Webster University women's tennis team opened play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 9-0 win at Blackburn College, in Carlinville, IL, on March 21. Morgan Rabe won her first singles match and Monica Behrle extended her singles win streak to six.
Rabe (FR, San Diego, CA/Clairemont HS) won her first collegiate singles match, at #6, in straight sets. Behrle (Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) improved to 12-1 on her freshman season with a straight set win at #2 singles. Marissa Lewis (SR, Owasso, OK/Owasso HS) improved to 10-2 in singles play with a straight set win at #1.
Webster is now 6-4 overall on the season. The Gorloks are right back in action on March 22, hosting the University of St. Francis (IL) at the Webster Groves Tennis Center. The full results from the Webster/Blackburn match:
