The Webster University women's tennis team won its fifth straight match, 7-0, over Fontbonne University, on March 29 at Clayton, MO.  The Gorloks improved to 3-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with the win.

Freshman Monica Behrle (Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS), coming off a SLIAC Player of the Week award, won her ninth straight singles match and improved to 15-1 for the year.  Behrle won in straight sets at #2.  Marissa Lewis (SR, Owasso, OK/Owasso HS) won her sixth straight, at #1 singles, and is now 13-2 on the year.  Behrle and Lewis also both won at #2 and #1 doubles, respectively.

Jesse Steffens-Willis (St. Louis, MO/Rockwood Summit HS) and Stephanie Lass (Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) also won at singles.  Stephens-Willis improved to 10-6 with her sixth win in a row, a straight set win at #3, and Lass improved to 8-7 with a straight set win at #4.  Freshman Morgan Rabe (San Diego, CA/Clairemont HS) improved to 3-2 with a straight set win at #5.

Webster is now 9-4 overall.  The Gorloks host Blackburn College (IL) on March 31 and Westminster College on April 2 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.
