The Webster University women's tennis team won the first of five schedule matches in Hilton Head, SC, winning 6-3 vs. Randolph College (VA) on March 8.  The Gorloks won four of six singles matches, as Marissa Lewis and Monica Behrle continued their dominance in the #s 1-2 spots.

Lewis (SR, Owasso, OK/Owasso HS) won in straight sets to improve to 7-1 on the year in singles while Behrle (FR, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) also won in straight sets and is now 8-1 in singles play.  Kaylen Kress (JR, Bartlett, IL/Bartlett HS) won in straight sets at the #3 position, and is 5-3 in singles on the year.  Freshman Stephanie Lass (Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) took the fourth singles match for the Gorloks, at #5, having to win a tie-breaker set for the victory.

Lewis and Kress won a knockdown/dragout at #1 doubles, winning in a tie-breaker and Behrle and Jesse Steffens-Willis (St. Louis, MO/Rockwood Summit HS) had a tough win at #2 doubles as well.

Webster is now 4-2 on the year.  The Gorloks continue play at Hilton Head on March 9, facing Ohio Wesleyan University.
