The Webster University women's tennis team won its second straight match, defeating Missouri Baptist University, 6-3, at the Webster Groves Tennis Center on September 19.   The Gorloks jumped out to a 3-0 lead, sweeping the doubles, and split the singles matches for the win.

Kaylen Kress (SR, Bartlett, IL/Bartlett HS), Madison Watts (FR, Rogersville, MO/Logan-Rogersville HS), and Jesse Steffens-Willis (SO, St. Louis, MO/Rockwood Summit HS) all won their second straight singles match-ups.  Kress and Watts won at #1 doubles as well, and Monica Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) and Steffens-Willis at #2, and Sara Rice (FR, Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour HS) and Chelsea Foster (JR, St. Louis, MO/McCluer North HS) at #3 won at doubles also.

Missouri Baptist University, an NAIA scholarship school, fell to 0-2 as the Gorloks improved to 2-1.  The Gorloks played an exhibition match vs. Lewis and Clark CC (IL) later in the day at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.  Using the same lineup, the Gorloks downed the Trailblazers, 8-1.  Webster swept all three doubles and won five of six singles matches.

Webster will end its fall portion of the 2015-16 schedule at home vs. NCAA II McKendree University on October 2.
