The Webster University women's tennis team lost two matches to very tough opponents in Cedar Rapids, IA, falling to host Coe College, 7-2 and Quincy Univeristy (IL), 8-1.  Coe is a perennial NCAA III power, advancing to the 2015 Championships, and Quincy is a NCAA II scholarship program.

Monica Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) won at #1 singles vs. Coe, and freshman Sara Rice (Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour HS) won at #4 singles.  Behrle won in the tie-breaker set, 10-8, while Rice won in the tie-breaker also, at 10-7.  Stephanie Lass (SO, Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) was the lone winner vs. Quincy, winning at #6 singles, winning in the tie-breaker as well at 10-3. 

Webster is 2-4 on the year.  Coe, 21-7 in 2014-15, is 8-2 on the season.  Quincy, 14-6 in 2014-15, improves to 6-1.  The Gorloks continue their weekend trip to Iowa by playing Cornell College in Mt. Vernon on February 28.  Webster will play three matches over spring break in Hilton Head, SC, from March 7-11.
