With an 8-1 win at Greenville College (IL) on April 23, the Webster University women's tennis team finished the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season at 5-0.  The Gorloks will enter the SLIAC Tournament as the number one seed.

Webster swept doubles play.  Jesse Steffens-Willis (SO, St. Louis, MO/Rockwood Summit HS) and Stephanie Lass (SO, Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) won their fifth straight as partners at #3 doubles, 8-5.  Steffens-Willis has won six straight overall at doubles, including a win with Chelsea Foster (JR, St. Louis, MO/McCluer North HS).

The Gorloks won five of six singles matches in straight sets.  Sara Rice (FR, Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour HS) won her fifth straight match at #3 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.  Rice is 14-7 overall on the season in singles play.  Monica Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) improved to 15-8 at #1 singles with her win.

With her 14th singles win of the year, Kaylen Kress (SR, Bartlett, IL/Bartlett HS) is in third place on the Webster career list with 48.  She also has moved up to third on the Webster career doubles wins list with 48 as well, with her 11 wins this year.  Behrle now has 36 total singles wins in her two seasons, and now ranks sixth on Webster career list.

Webster is 14-9 overall on the year.  The SLIAC Tournament will take place on April 29-30 at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center in Forest Park, in St. Louis.  Full results for the match:
