The Webster University women's tennis team went to 2-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with a 9-0 road win over Blackburn College, on April 5 in Carlinville, IL.  The Gorloks swept doubles play, losing only one game, and went on to sweep the singles as well.

Webster won all six singles matches in straight sets, losing only six games total in the process.  Monica Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) improved to 11-6 at singles for the year, all at #1.  Stephanie Lass (SO, Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) improved to 10-6 and freshman Sara Rice (Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour HS) went to 9-7 at singles.

Webster is 2-0 in the SLIAC and 9-8 overall with the win.  Webster will play Illinois Wesleyan University on April 9, in Elsah, IL.  The Gorloks host Principia College (IL) on April 11 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.
