The Webster University women's tennis team had an impressive non-conference victory with an 8-1 win over Illinois Wesleyan University, on April 9 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.  The Gorloks win was their third in their last four matches.

Webster swept the doubles action against the Titans with the tandem of Monica Behrle (SO, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding HS) and Kaylen Kress (SR, Bartlett, IL/Bartlett HS) improving to 4-1 together with their win at #1. 

The Gorloks won five of the six singles matches, with Behrle improving to 12-6 with her straight set win at #1 and Stephanie Lass (SO, Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community HS) to 11-6 with her win at #5.  Sara Rice (FR, Mahomet, IL/Mahomet-Seymour HS) improved to 10-7 with her win in the tie-breaker at #3 and Kress is now 10-8 in singles on the year with her straight set win at #2.

Webster is 10-8 on the season with the win.  The Gorloks host SLIAC rival Principia College (IL) on April 11 at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.
