The women's tennis team commanded play Thursday night against Fontbonne University. The Gorloks went 9-0 in three doubles and six singles matches. This match previously had been rescheduled due to rain.

The night began with doubles. All three doubles teams lost only one game each to their opponents. Singles play was a similar story, with the Gorloks dropping six games total between the six of them.

"[The match] was fun and was a good warm up for our Maryville match on Saturday, which we are really looking forward to," said Chelsea Foster (SR., St. Louis, MO). "We have done great so far and hope to finish the season strong."

With the first match of the fall season over, the Gorloks are preparing for their final fall match against Maryville University on Saturday, September 24 at Maryville.
