Webster's Maria Soffner and Torie Grassi were named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference 2017 Women's Volleyball All-Conference Team. Soffner was named to the First Team while Grassi was a Second Team selection.
Soffner (SR, St. Louis, MO/Incarnate Word Academy) broke the coveted 1000 dig barrier earlier this season and is now 10th on Webster's career list with 1153 total digs heading into SLIAC Tournament action. Soffner was third in the SLIAC in total digs with 534 and third in digs per set at 5.08. Soffner also had 32 service aces on the season.
Grassi (JR, St. Louis MO/Rosati-Kain) led the Gorloks with 211 kills on the season and averaged 2.48 per set. Grassi had a .185 attack pct. and also had 29 block assists for the year. Her 613 career kills is 17th on Webster's all-time high list, as she will climb the list of leaders in 2018.
The Gorloks finished the regular season 15-3 in the SLIAC, tied for second place.
