For the second straight year, the Webster University women's tennis team fell to Principia College in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championship title match, on April 22 at King's Point in Belleville, IL. The Gorloks finished in second place in the Championship after falling behind 3-0 after doubles play, and the match ending at 5-0 when The Panthers took the first two completed singles.
 
Principia had just edged Webster, 5-4, in a regular season meeting a week earlier.  Webster wound up the season 11-9 overall, having gone 4-1 in SLIAC conference play. 

Stephanie Lass (JR, Lake Villa, IL/Lakes Community) finished the season 11-3 in singles, winning 11 of her last 12 matches.  Lass now has 35 career singles wins, placing her seventh on Webster's all-time high list.  Monica Behrle (JR, Atlanta, GA/East Paulding) was 14-7 in singles play on the year, winning 13 of her last 16 matches, all at #1.  She has 51 career singles wins and is third on the Webster all-time list, seven behind leader Allison Tungate (58).

Jesse Steffens-Willis (JR, St. Louis, MO/Rockwood Summit) ends the season ninth on the career singles list with 31 wins.
