ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has announced the Player of the Week awards for the week ending on Sunday, October 22
nd. For their efforts this past week,
Kianna Patton was named the SLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week while
Courtney Haneline was named the SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Patton, a junior out of Walla Walla, Washington, set a new personal record in the St. Louis Fall Classic over the weekend. Patton took 50
th place out of 66 runners in the 5K race with a time of 27:06. This is her first career SLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.
Haneline, a freshman goalkeeper out of Loveland, Ohio, recorded her seventh solo shutout of the season on Saturday in a 1-0 win over Greenville. She recorded one save in the game to push her season total to 43 on the year. She currently has a 9-3-1 record between the pipes on the season and has posted a .754 save percentage. This is her third SLIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
