Women’s Tennis Victorious In All Individual Matches Against Westminster In Fall Finale

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Webster University women's tennis team closed out the fall schedule by hosting Westminster College on Saturday. The Gorloks and Bluejays decided to play a tournament style match as the Gorloks were victorious in all individual matches.

In doubles competition, the duo of Lucy Paro and Maddie Mena played in the No. 1 match and defeated Hayley Lale and Emily Heigham by the final score of 6-0.

The No. 2 doubles team of Kylie Chitwood and Journee White blanked their opponents Jada Barlow and Heigham by the final score of 6-0.

The finals doubles match of the day featured the team of Evie Schuetz and Riham Benjelloun. This partnership battled the duo of Barlow and Lale very closely and used a late rally to capture a 7-5 victory.

In singles play, Chitwood faced off against Barlow and eliminated her by the final score 6-2.

In the No. 2 singles match that featured Chloe Daughtry and Lale, Daughtry got off to a huge lead and paced to a 6-1 victory.

In the final singles match of the day, Bailee Pineda faced off against Heigham and captured a dominant 6-1 victory.

The Gorloks will use the remainder of the fall semester to prepare for the spring season.
