Box Score ELSAH, Ill. – The Webster University women's tennis team was back in action yesterday when they traveled to Elsah, Illinois, to take on the Principia (Ill.) College Panthers for their first UMAC match of the season. The Gorloks fell to the Panthers by a final score of 9-0 to drop to 10-6 on the season. With the win, Principia improves to 5-6 on the year.

The Gorloks got off to a good start in doubles as Kylie Chitwood and Bailey Higgins nearly won #1 doubles against Bissola Lassissi and Veronika Volkart but ultimately fell by a final score of 8-6. In addition, Bailee Pineda and Evie Schuetz dropped #2 doubles by a final score of 8-1 while Maddie Mena and Chloe Daughtry fell in #3 doubles by a final score of 8-2.

The Gorloks struggles continued in singles as they were unable to record a point. Kylie Chitwood fell in #1 singles by final scores of 6-1 and 6-2. Bailey Higgins dropped #2 singles by final scores of 6-2 and 6-2. Maddie Mena fell in #3 singles by final scores of 6-0 and 6-0. Bailee Pineda lost #4 singles by scores of 6-3 and 6-1. Evie Schuetz fell in #5 singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-1. Lastly, Chloe Daughtry dropped #6 singles by scores of 6-1 and 6-2.

The Gorloks are set to take on the Millikin (Ill.) University Big Blue this afternoon in Decatur, Illinois.
