Illingworth and Webb Selected to First Team, Caquelin Named Third Team All-Conference Team; Ford Tabbed To All-Sportsmanship Team

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has released the end of the season All-Conference Teams for the sport of Women's Basketball. WU's Meghan Illingworth and Miya Webb were selected to the First Team All-Conference Team while first-year Akaela Caquelin was named to the Third Team All-Conference Team. Webb was selected to the All-Defensive Team while Terryn Ford was named to the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. 

In 14 conference games played, Illingworth led the team with 188 points, 11 blocks, and tied Caquelin with 76 total rebounds. In conference play, she secured four top-25 statistical categories; eighth with a free-throw percentage of 71.4, 10th in scoring with an average of 13.4 points per game (team-high), 10th with 11 blocks for an average of 0.80 per game (team-high), and tied 20th in rebounding with an average of 5.4 per game (tied team-high). Lastly, she added 16 assists and 16 steals for averages of 1.1 per game each. 

Webb earned a First-Team All-Conference selection where she led the team with 46 assists and 44 steals, second in scoring with 162 points, and third in rebounding with 65. In conference play, she started all 16 games at guard for the Gorloks and secured three top-25 statistical rankings. She tied for fourth in steals with an average of 2.8 per game, ninth in assists with an average of 2.9 per game, and 21st in scoring with an average of 10.1 points per game. In addition, she shot 76.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Caquelin, a first-year student-athlete from Rolla, Missouri earned the Third Team All-Conference selections where she led the team in conference play with 26 three-pointers that included an 38.2 percent clip and tied Illingworth with a team-high 76 rebounds. Additionally, she finished third on the team in scoring with 129 points, and finished third on the team with 25 steals.

In conference play, she ended the season with three top-25 conference statistical rankings that included fifth with 26 made three-pointers for an average of 1.9 made per game, 17th in steals with an average of 1.8 per game, and tied for 20th in rebounding with an average of 5.4 rebounds per game. 

In addition, Webb was selected to the SLIAC All-Defensive Team where she recorded 46 defensive rebounds, 44 steals, and two blocks. 

Lastly, Ford was selected to the All-Sportsmanship Team.
