Women’s Tennis Fall To UW-Eau Claire In Florida

ORLANDO, Flor. - The Webster University women's tennis team continued spring break play with a non-conference match against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Gorloks won one doubles match but dropped the match by the score of 0-7.

In the number one doubles match, the team of Maggie McBratney and Abby Cristea went point-for-point against their opponents which forced a tiebreaker set. In the tiebreaker set, McBratney and Cristea fought hard and worked collectively which earned an 8-6 victory.

In the number two doubles match, the duo of Doreen Eyongeta and Maria Pinilla Pena won two points but fell by the score of 2-6.

UW-Eau Claire won the third doubles match by default.

In the number one singles match, McBratney won one point but fell by the scores of 1-6 and 0-6.

In the number two singles match, Cristea fought hard but dropped the match by the identical scores of 0-6.

In the number three singles match, Eyongeta won four points but fell by the scores of 2-6 and 2-6.

In the number four singles match, Pinilla Pena lost her match by the identical scores of 0-6.

In the number five and six singles matches, UW-Eau Claire won those by default.
