Patterson Wins 100m Dash, Merritt and Govero Earn Top-7 Marks At Kansas State

MANHATTAN, Kan. - Three Gorloks on the Webster University men's track and field team continued their outdoor season by competing in the Ward Haylett Invitational hosted by Kansas State University. WU's Dylan Patterson, Austin Merritt, and Mark Govero recorded marks at this meet.

In the 100m dash, Patterson won the event with a time of 10.63 seconds. With this time, he beat nine competitors; two Division I, four Division II, one Division III, one JUCO, and one unattached.

In addition, Merritt earned fifth place in the 100m dash with a time of 10.83 seconds. With that time, he beat five competitors; three Division II, one JUCO, and one unattached.

In the Pole Vault event, senior Mark Govero earned seventh overall with a clearing height of 4.67m that included a field of one Division I, one Division II, and three unattached competitors.
