Ogata Sets New All-Time High Jump School Record; Merritt Wins 100M Dash At Memphis Tiger Invitational

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Webster University men's track and field team closed out the two-day Memphis Tiger Invitational hosted by the University of Memphis on Saturday. WU's Thomas Ogata set the new all-time Men's High Jump school record with a personal-best clearance of 1.97M. Austin Merritt won the 100m dash event with a time of 10.66 seconds.

In the 1500m, the 2026 SLIAC Freshman of the Year Brayden Halter set a new personal record with a time of 4:05.31 that placed fifth overall.

In the Pole Vault event, Mark Govero earned a fifth place finish with a clearing height of 4.62m.

In the High Jump, Nkunim Kouame recorded a new personal record with a clearance of 1.92M

In the Triple Jump, sophomore Robin Wong recorded a mark of 13.18m.

In the 110m hurdles event, Lucas LaRue recorded a time of 16.36 seconds.

In the 400m event, Kaiden Richardson and Nic Richardson crossed the finish line with times of 51.16 and 51.66 seconds respectively.

In addition to Merritt in the 100m dash, Dylan Patterson recorded a time of 10.67 seconds which earned second place.

In the 400m hurdles event, LaRue was the lone competitor on the track and crossed the finish line with a time of 58.09 seconds.
