ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Web
ster University men's and women's tennis teams have both been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) as 2026 All-Academic Teams, while 11 Gorloks were named ITA Scholar-Athletes.
The ITA announced its 2026 Division III academic awards, recognizing student-athletes and programs that excelled in the classroom throughout the academic year. In total, 1,309 Division III women's tennis student-athletes and 1,151 Division III men's tennis student-athletes earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Additionally, 177 women's programs and 147 men's programs received the ITA All-Academic Team distinction.
Webster had five men and six women earn Scholar-Athlete honors.
The five men earning the distinction were Patricio Santos, Jack Forlenza, Griffin Olson, Robin Wong and Nicholas Granada.
The six women earning the distinction were Riham Benjelloun, Maggie McBratney, Irune Rubio Fernandez, Analiese Smith, Evie Schuetz and Doreen Eyongeta.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the current academic year and be listed on their institution's eligibility form. To receive the team award, programs must achieve a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, have all student-athletes included on the institutional eligibility form and factor all varsity letter winners into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
