Men's post win over SLIAC foe

The Webster men's tennis team rebounded for their season-opening defeat to breeze past Fontbonne, 9-0, in non-conference action Saturday at the Webster Recreational Center.

The Gorloks allowed just one point in doubles action as the pair of Rolf Rothermel and Dino Fajic were victorious in first doubles, 8-1. In second doubles, Zach Papes and Tomoya Homma won, 8-0.

Rothermel and Bill White breezed through their respective singles matches, in the first and third flights, by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Papes posted a 6-1, 6-3 victory in second singles, while Fajic won, 6-0, 6-1, in fourth singles.

Webster (1-1) will take a two-week break before returning to the courts to host Westminster and Eureka on Saturday, April 4.
