Webster University's mens basketball team won on the road, defeating Principia College, 75-56, in Elsah, IL, on January 9.  The win was the Gorloks fourth in their last five, evening their season record at 7-7 and upping their St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference record to 4-1.

The Gorloks pulled to a 35-31 halftime lead and sped away in the second half.  John Ortwerth (SR, DeSmet Jesuit, STL) led Webster with 13 points, while Nick Jones (JR, Heritage HS, IL) scored 12 and Drew Moore (JR, Webster Groves HS, STL) added 11.  Junior Jerry Strickland (Hesperia HS, CA) added six points and seven rebounds.

The Gorloks are back at home on January 13 to face Fontbonne University, and take a week off before hitting the road again to take on Greenville College (IL) on January 20.
