A well-balanced attack paced the women’s soccer team as seven different players scored in a 9-0 Webster victory over MacMurray College (IL) at AB Soccer Park on October 5. The nine goals were a season high for the Gorloks as juniors Jordan Geller (O'Fallon HS, IL) and Amanda Zeier (McCluer HS, STL) led the attack with two goals apiece.
Geller’s two goals were her first of the season and Zeier's two brought her total to five on the year. Also scoring for Webster were freshmen Katie Aubuchon (STL) and Jordan Fosburgh (Collinsville HS, IL), Izzy Sherfy (JR, Pattonville HS, STL), Christy Capkovic (SR, Mehlville HS, STL), and Megan Niederschulte (SR, Pattonville HS, STL).
Shelby Wade (SO, Francis Howell HS, STL) and Brittany Senator (JR, Quincy HS, IL) shared the shutout for the Gorloks.
Webster is 3-0 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and 7-4 overall. The Washington University Bears visit AB Soccer Park on October 7 and the Gorloks jump right back in SLIAC play on October 9 vs. Blackburn College (IL), at home also.
