Griffin Grabs SLIAC Player of the Week Nod

Aaron Griffin (SO, Velma Jackson HS, MS) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 10-16.

Griffin, a center from Farm Haven, Mississippi, scored 20 points and pulled down 21 rebounds as the Gorloks lost a 97-89 overtime decision at Rust College (MS).  The 21 rebounds are the most in a game since the 1986 season for the Gorloks, when Steve Pierson set the school record with 26 boards in one game.

Griffin finished with six offensive and 15 defensive boards, while shooting 8-11 (.727) from the field, and recording two assists, one steal, and one block.

Congratulations to Aaron on his honor!
