The Webster University men’s tennis team opened its spring schedule with a win indoors at Illinois College, 8-1, in Jacksonville, IL, on February 11.  Diego Alarcon (JR, American School, Ecuador) and Ricky Eaves (JR, McCluer North HS) improved to 4-1 in singles on the year.

The Gorloks swept the singles, 6-0, and lost their lone match in the doubles.  Alarcon, playing at #1 singles, swept his match, 6-1, 6-1.  Eaves had almost as easy time at #2, winning 6-4, 6-1. 

Also winning in singles was Francissco Cortez (JR, Quincy HS, IL), making his Webster debut, Josh Papes (FR, McCluer North HS), Wakeel Rahman (JR, Pattonville HS), and Dustin Thode (JR, Crystal City HS, MO).

The Gorloks are in action next at the Webster Groves Tennis Center on March 3 vs. Lindenwood University-Belleville.
