Men's Tennis Topples Greenville, 8-1

Moving to 3-1 in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and 11-2 overall on the season, the Webster University men's tennis team defeated Greenville College, 8-1, at the Webster Groves Tennis Center on April 3.

Diego Alarcon (JR, American School, Ecuador) won at #1 singles, improving his season mark to 10-2 and 7-2 at the #1 position.  Alarcon teamed with Francissco Cortez (JR, Quincy HS, IL) at #1 doubles to win.  Alarcon and Cortez are 5-1 as doubles partners.    Ricky Eaves (JR, McCluer North HS) is now 9-1 in doubles with his win at #2 with Josh Papes (FR, McCluer North HS).

Josh Sellmeyer (JR, Mehlville HS) remained undefeated on the year, going to 10-0 in singles with his win at #4, and 8-0 in doubles with a win at #3 with Dustin Thode (JR, Crystal City HS, MO).  Wakeel Rahman (JR, Pattonville HS) improved to 8-4 in singles with a win a #6.

The team will be back at the WGTC on April 7 for a match with Illinois College.  Full results for the Greenville match were:
