The Webster Univesity men's tennis team fell, 7-2, to Lake Forest College, but came back with a 9-0 win over Illinois College, on March 22, in Jacksonville, IL. Freshman Juan Granizo (Quito, Ecuador/Alberto Einstein HS) and Travis Blair (SO, Jerseyville, IL/Jerseyville HS) had wins in both matches at the #1 and #2 positions to lead Webster.
With his two wins, Granizo improved to 4-1 in singles on the season and Blair is now 3-2. Daniel DeVasto (JR, St. Louis, MO/St. John Vianney HS) won his first singles match as a Gorlok at #6 vs Illinois College.
