Men's Tennis Skunks Illinois College, 9-0, for Split

The Webster Univesity men's tennis team fell, 7-2, to Lake Forest College, but came back with a 9-0 win over Illinois College, on March 22, in Jacksonville, IL.  Freshman Juan Granizo (Quito, Ecuador/Alberto Einstein HS) and Travis Blair (SO, Jerseyville, IL/Jerseyville HS) had wins in both matches at the #1 and #2 positions to lead Webster.

With his two wins, Granizo improved to 4-1 in singles on the season and Blair is now 3-2.  Daniel DeVasto (JR, St. Louis, MO/St. John Vianney HS) won his first singles match as a Gorlok at #6 vs Illinois College.

Webster is 2-3 overall on the season.  Results for both matches are listed below

Webster opens play in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on March 26 as it hosts Fontbonne University at the Webster Groves Tennis Center.
