Men's Tennis Loses To Greenville, Finishes Fourth in SLIAC

The Webster University men's tennis team dropped its final contest of the season, falling to Greenville Colllege, 5-0, in the third place match of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.  The match was held at Westminster Academy in St. Louis, on April 19.

The Gorloks lost a tie breaker in the #1 doubles match, and went down, 3-0 after losing at #2 and #3.  After losing two singles matches, with Greenville reaching the five points needed to win, the match was declared over.

Freshman Juan Granizo (FR, Quito, Ecuador/Collegio Alberto Einstein) had the Gorlok's top win percent at singles, going 10-3.  He was 7-2 at #1 and 3-1 at #2.  Carlton Poindexter (JR, Florissant, MO/McCluer Northl HS) had the second the second best record, winding up 7-4 in singles, playing #s 3-6. 

Webster finished the season 7-8 overall.  The results for the Greenville match were:
